This is my free interpretation of this famous Ukrainian New Year's song. Shchedryk tells the story of a swallow flying home to sing of wealth that will come next spring.

Words can comfort you and make you sad. Motivate and discourage. Repair and destroy. Take you up and bring down to the ground. Give hope and kill. Words mean so much. Let us use them wisely.
